An elder is pastoral leader elected by the congregation who helps give long term vision for the church, encourages other leaders and congregants, prays for the church and with it’s members and helps teach the Word of God. Elders are a combination of a staff and non-staff team. Feel free to contact any elder listed below if you have any questions or urgent prayer needs.
Gene Binder :: Lead Pastor

Gene Binder was raised in the reformed branch of Judaism. He came to believe in Yeshua (Jesus) as the Jewish Messiah in 1984 and sees himself more Jewish today than ever before. He has been married to Andrea for over 34 years and they have two adult children. Gene is a graduate of Talbot Theological Seminary and helps the Cornerstone congregation to connect the dots between the Jewish and Christian faiths.
Brian Carlucci :: Pastor of Transformissional Partnerships

Brian grew up in a small town in southern Colorado with his parents and two younger brothers. He became a Christian in 7th grade at a student ministries activity. Brian is a former college athlete and is now a coach. Brian was called into Student Ministries in high school and began his ministry experience in college as a volunteer small group leader. In 2001 Brian graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in history, and is currently working towards his seminary degree. Brian is married to his beautiful wife Elyse and in February 2004 the couple had their first child, Cole and in December 2007 Austin joined the Carlucci family.
Kevin Cox :: Elder

Kevin Cox is a Colorado native. He was born in Colorado Springs at Ft Carson and moved to Boulder in 1970. He was born again on January 1, 1983. Kevin married his wonderful wife Sharon in 1984 and they have two children, Karin and Brian. Kevin is a graduate of Colorado University with degrees in Economics and Political Science. He is currently involved in real estate development.
John Lamb :: Elder

John began following Jesus as a young Marine in 1972. After graduating with a degree in Education from Northern Arizona University in 1976 he and his wife Nancy joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ serving at CU in Boulder for sixteen years. They have three grown children and three grandsons. John graduated with a doctor of ministry degree from Bakke Graduate University in 2008 in Transformational Leadership for the Global City. His greatest desire is to foster collaboration with the Body of Christ to experience God’s Kingdom on earth now but not yet.
Ken Miller :: Elder

Ken Miller was raised in Colorado. He met his wife D iane at the
University of Colorado where they both earned degrees in 1983. They have four children; Alyssa, Stacia, Brad, and Evan. Ken served as a youth and
college pastor in San Diego from 1985-1992. Since leaving the church
ministry, Ken and Diane have served with Campus Crusade for Christ in
Boulder, where Ken is a Regional director. Ken's greatest loves are his
wife and family, Jesus, the Broncos and Pepsi.
Steve Ward :: Elder

Steve Ward is a native to the area, has been a Christian since 1987, and a part of Cornerstone since 1988. He has been married to his wife, Kelley, since 1990 and they have 3 children. He is an Electrical Engineer by trade, and an elder by calling.
Brian Yost :: Elder

Brian Yost was born in Ohio but has lived in Colorado since 1979. He became a Christian in 1988 through the ministry of Young Life. Brian began attending the church that would eventually become Cornerstone in 1989 as a freshman in college. He has been married to his wife Laura for 11 years, and they have three children. Brian started working for IBM in 1995 when he completed his MBA from the University of Colorado and he continues to work for IBM today as a Project Manager. Brian is currently the Chairman of the Elder Board at Cornerstone Church.
